Requesting Library Items: Interlibrary Loan: Requesting a Dissertation

If you need a dissertation:

1) First check to see if the dissertation is available through ProQuest Dissertation and Theses Global.  Concordia subscribes to ProQuest, which includes a database of master’s and PhD dissertations.

2)  You can also check this Open Access database of theses and dissertations: Open Access Theses and Dissertations

2) If the dissertation is not available through ProQuest or OATD, you can request the dissertation by using the Interlibrary Loan Request Form; use the form for books and dissertations.  We cannot borrow e-copies of a dissertation from another library, only the physical copy.  Be aware that universities may not lend dissertations, and that foreign dissertations may be unavailable also.
