Requesting Library Items: Interlibrary Loan: My Interlibrary Loan book is due now, but I still need it. How do I renew Interlibrary Loan materials?

My Interlibrary Loan book is due now, but I still need it. How do I renew Interlibrary Loan materials?

I-Share:  You can renew your I-Share books yourself, by logging into your library account, selecting the item(s) that need to be renewed, and clicking on “renew” (or “renew all”).   This must be done BEFORE the due date.  If you have waited until the book is so overdue that it has been moved to "Lost" status, the renewal will not be processed and your account will be blocked.  You must then contact the Interlibrary Loan desk and request a renewal at crfilllib@cuchicago.edu or 708.209.3050.

Out-of-state books:  You cannot renew these books yourself.  You must contact the Interlibrary Loan desk at crfilllib@cuchicago.edu and request a renewal.  The lending library may or may not renew the items, depending on that lender’s lending policy.   You will be notified by email of the new due date, if the library grants a renewal.  If the lender does not renew the book, we will let you know and you must return the item as soon as possible.
