AI Guidance for CUC: Generative AI Tools

Common Generative AI Tools:

  • ChatGPT - Developed by OpenAI, the free version is suitable for most generative tasks, and has an improved ability to avoid hallucinations. If you sign up for the paid plan, you get access to features such as plugins that supercharge the functionality of the bot. 
  • DALL-E - A text-to-image generator developed by OpenAI. The tool enables users to produce and tweak creations using natural language prompts. Once an image has been generated, users can edit it by using ChatGPT or interacting with the image directly.
  • GitHub Copilot - A code completion and automatic programming tool developed by GitHub and OpenAI that assists users of Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio, Neovim, and JetBrains.
  • Google Gemini Chat - A free interface available to everyone with a Google account. Does well on most tasks and has access to the web by default. Some AI capabilities are integrated into Google tools.
  • Khanmigo - By Khan Academy, designed as a virtual tutor and supporter of student achievement using machine learning to help students learn faster by teaching them how to identify their missing step and offering another try along with the rule that would prompt a student’s approach.
  • Microsoft’s Copilot - (Formerly Bing Chat) provides an AI-powered chat powered by GPT-4 and DALL-E. You can ask complex questions and get responses based on information from the web.
  • Wondershare Filmora - Provides suite of features designed for both professionals and enthusiasts. With custom templates, AI-powered automation, and one-click drag-and-drop editing, users can enjoy editing solutions while creating videos.
