Knowing how to find and check if information is true is an important skill for coursework and daily life. It helps you tell distinguish reliable information from information that is not. The CRAPP test is one method used to evaluate the credibility of sources. CRAAP stands for:
Currency: Is the information up to date?
Relevance: Does it relate to your topic or need?
Authority: Who is the author or source? Are they trustworthy?
Accuracy: Is the information correct and supported by evidence?
Purpose: Why was this information created? Is it biased?
