Welcome to the research guide designed for all AES students at Concordia University Chicago.
Please utilize the resources as much as you want and reach out to the library team for your research needs!
Try browsing the table of contents or recent articles from journals in your field
After selecting a topic, frame this into a question format, as it will help you determine the key concepts: population, intervention and outcome. You will then use these concepts in your database search.
Search all of these journals at one time by click on this link
Construct a well-built question is to use the PICO model before looking for resources. This practice improves:
Population or problem you intend to study.
Intervention or treatment.
What would be the alternative to the intervention you selected?
Outcome you anticipate.
Example:
Does ginger tea help reduce joint pain in adult patients suffering from gout?
P: Patient with gout
I: Ginger tea
C: Plaquenil or other medication (optional)
O: Lessening joint pain
CUC Students, Faculty, and Staff can make research appointments with CUC Librarians and we will work with your schedule.
