Candidates will access the Application for Teacher Candidacy via their Tevera account. The following documents will need to be submitted in Tevera with the application:
Candidates will need an Illinois Educator Identification Number (IEIN) to apply for Teacher Candidacy. This number is created in the Educator Licensure Information System (ELIS) on the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) website. After creating an IEIN, do not log in or return to the ELIS website until your Professional Educator License is granted after graduation. During your time as a student, CUC will interact with ELIS on your behalf and submit the required documentation to apply for your Professional Educator License.
The Application for Teacher Candidacy is available in Tevera.
