Original Article Sources
Often times, the popular article you find for this assignment will include an electronic link to the referenced study or identify its title and authors. To find a referenced study by title and author you have a couple of choices:
1. Use CUC's Library databases (from Library's home select the Find Articles box below the Search bar to be directed to databases)
2. Use Google Scholar
3. Request the article from the Library (first confirm it is not in CUC's database or Google Scholar)

Psychology Databases
- EBSCO Psychology Only Databases Search
This search consists of all the CUC EBSCO psychology databases that are currently subscribed. For more databases, select "New search" in the upper left-hand corner.
- APA PsycArticlesSearch the premier database from the American Psychological Association. Access over 70 top full-text psychology publications covering the disciplines of Human Physiology, Personality Psychology, Social Psychology, Educational Psychology, and more. Full-text available. Searched through EBSCO.
- APA PsycInfoCompiled by the American Psychological Association (APA). Comprehensive resource covering all aspects of psychology, plus the behavioral aspect of education, medicine, sociology, law, management and other fields. Mainly citations. Searched through EBSCO.
- Academic Search Complete This link opens in a new windowThis multidisciplinary database provides access to articles from journals, magazines, and reference sources across all subject areas. Coverage is primarily from 1980 to the present, with some older content. Searched through EBSCO.
- ERICDatabase sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education to provide extensive access to education-related literature, including pedagogy, counseling and psychology. Covers 1966-present. Searched through EBSCO.
- Education Research CompleteEducation Research Complete is the definitive online resource for education research. Topics covered include all levels of education from early childhood to higher education, and all educational specialties, such as multilingual education, health education, and testing. Searched through EBSCO.
How to Request an Article
Requesting articles from the library is free!
Navigate CUC databases at anytime! If there are articles you would like but are not available in EBSCO, click on "Request this Item". Fill out the form and the library team will send the request to you via email as soon as possible. Please allow 4 days of processing time.
If you cannot locate the article record in EBSCO and still want to request the article, fill out the Interlibrary Loan Request form.

Before requesting confirm that the item is not otherwise available by reviewing the following based on the item.
- Journal articles, search Concordia Journals, Google Scholar
- Books and AV materials, search I-Share
- Dissertations, search the ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Global database and I-Share.
